- “What I like the best about Suomi is… We can relax because the school is surrounded by nature. We are always coming up with questions so we think a lot everyday, so I feel our thinking skills are naturally improving, and we are also broadening our imagination and knowledge through cross-curricular learning. Anyway, it’s fun that we have a lot of events at Suomi! Each of us has our own uniqueness of character and a kind heart, so I find it easy to express my feelings and opinions. All in all, our English communication skills are greatly improved through our school life here at Suomi.”(M.A)
- A free school where each student's individuality is valued. It's a very individualistic school, so there are many people who don't fit in, but I think it's great for those who do. (T.S)
- I like suomi because everyone has their own personality, and they are all unique. Also, I can find things I love. We have forest nearby, so we could easily find something interesting and give presentations about nature to everyone. To do presentations, they could know about it more and by doing so we feel like a being true academic. Of Course we need to be able to write Kanjis, but if you want to learn how to write kanji you can whenever you want. Not everyone is interested in writing kanji at junior high school. At school, we don’t always speak English but we all have a conversational English level that we can speak to each other. We do not have taught “English” lessons. We learn English through our own interest and school activities. The public schools use text books and teaches try to teach very hard at everything, but suomi’s opinion is that the text books are written in the way that is easy for everyone to understand, so we read them at home and at school we think together in the classroom instead. We learn from each other, not from teachers only. For me, Suomi students are all equal and are all cheerful people I respect and admire. (K.H)

- In suomi we cherish cooperative spirit. In general, we talk in English with teachers. Suomi kids has good imagination, that imagination and idea is very innovative and interesting. Suomi has many events, for example summer festival, in which we open our own shops. so we can Acquire computing power. In presentation we can acquire communication skill and English skill, and present skill. (F.T)
